Charlotte (Uptown)

Dilworth
Tree-lined streets run through Dilworth, a quaint area with a laid-back, global restaurant scene. Kenilworth Commons and Park Square retail plazas have specialty food and clothes shops, while interior design stores and boutiques dot the area. Freedom Park is popular for its lake and walking trails, and the Discovery Place Nature museum nearby is home to animals and a planetarium.
Myers Park
Myers Park is an affluent area with high-end boutiques, gourmet grocery stores, and chic restaurants, especially on Selwyn Avenue. An international art collection is displayed at Mint Museum Randolph, and the Discovery Place Nature Museum has live animal exhibits. The Booty Loop cycling trail runs through the heart of the neighborhood, and the Wing Haven Garden and Bird Sanctuary feature rose and herb gardens.
Eastover
Eastover is a neighborhood located in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is known for its upscale residential properties and tree-lined streets. Plaza Midwood

There’s also a vibrant restaurant scene featuring comfort food eateries, barbecue joints, gastropubs, and several popular ice-cream shops. Stores sell consignment and vintage clothing to records and locally made artisan goods and jewelry.
NoDa
NoDa, short for North Davidson, is the city's arts and entertainment district. It's known for its eclectic galleries and music venues, including the Neighborhood Theatre, host to big-name acts, and intimate spots like the Evening Muse. Artisan gift shops, jewelry stores, and tattoo parlors dot North Davidson Street. Local eats include Southern fare, Cajun cuisine, and pizza, and there are several hip dive bars.
Cotswold
The Cotswold neighborhood of Charlotte, most likely taking its name from the large shopping center, Cotswold Village Shops, is located at the intersection of Randolph and Sharon Amity Roads. Known initially as Cotswold Mall, it was one of Charlotte's first suburban malls.
South Park
SouthPark is an upscale residential and commercial area offering designer shopping at the vast SouthPark mall and smaller, independent fashion stores at the Phillips Place and Morrison shopping centers. Young professionals hang out in the area's numerous posh bars, while the local dining scene features French cafes, casual sushi spots, and brick-oven pizza joints.
Ballantyne
The affluent Ballantyne area is home to the Ballantyne Village shopping center, with chic clothing boutiques and jewelry stores, and Blakeney Village, an outdoor mall featuring major national brands. There are several casual Italian, Southern, and Asian restaurants, cafes, and burger joints. Small parks and ponds dot the neighborhood, and the Ballantyne hotel has a public 18-hole golf course.
Matthews
Nestled between Charlotte and Union County, Matthews offers big city amenities with a small-town feel. Annual festivals, family-friendly entertainment and plenty of recreational amenities have made it one of the most desired locations in the region. Weddington
Weddington is a suburban town in Union County, North Carolina. A small portion of the city extends into Mecklenburg County. The population was 9,459 at the 2010 census. It is a suburb in the Charlotte metropolitan area. The current mayor of Weddington is Elizabeth Callis.
Waxhaw
The rapidly-growing town of Waxhaw, NC, is located about 23 miles southeast of downtown Charlotte. Waxhaw is in Union County and bordered by Mineral Springs, Marvin, Wesley Chapel, Monroe, Fort Mill, Indian Trail, Matthews, Stallings, and Weddington. Belmont
Belmont has a rich history and is home to Belmont Abbey College, a private liberal arts Catholic college founded in 1876. The city offers a variety of amenities, parks, and recreational opportunities, making it a desirable place to live for those who want a quieter, suburban lifestyle while still having access to the cultural and economic opportunities of nearby Charlotte.
Lake Wylie
Lake Wylie is located between Rock Hill, SC and Charlotte, NC on the border between South Carolina and North Carolina. Its size is 12,177 in total acreage, with 7,316 acres in SC. Duke Energy, in cooperation with the SC Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) and York County, SC, maintain five public boat access areas in South Carolina. Bank fishing access is also available at Ebenezer County Park in York County. First created in 1904 by a dam near Fort Mill, SC, Lake Wylie is one of the oldest reservoirs in South Carolina.
Lake Norman
Located 20 miles north of Charlotte, Lake Norman is the perfect place for a quick trip or small getaway anytime of the year. Stroll down the historic main streets lined with a fun mix of boutique shops, galleries and restaurants or experience the beautiful scenery by boating and fishing or hiking and biking. As North Carolina’s largest man-made lake, there’s something for everyone to love with plenty to do for a relaxing escape or outdoor adventure.
